Prince Albert Victoria Hospital

Overview

The Prince Albert Victoria Hospital (PAVH) redevelopment is a landmark project for northern Saskatchewan, bringing a transformative impact to healthcare delivery in the region. By expanding acute care facilities with a new tower and renovating the existing hospital, PAVH will increase its bed capacity from 173 to 242, enhancing access to critical medical services for communities in the north.

P3A is working with aodbt in their joint venture known as SPRA, along with KRA. This project prioritizes patient-centred planning, accessibility, and life safety, with special attention to the complexities of mental healthcare. The involvement of P3A ensures thoughtful integration of laboratory and medical device reprocessing functions, as well as improved vertical circulation and security throughout the facility. The project’s flexible and adaptable design—demonstrated by the modular laboratory layout—addresses evolving healthcare needs and supports future growth.

PAVH’s redevelopment is crucial for improving health outcomes, supporting regional sustainability, and setting new standards for hospital infrastructure in the north.
